I am appalled by the service that I received from DSTV.

Firstly, I was incorrectly billed by R1 600. I refused to pay until the issue was unresolved. I then received a call from the ICT stating that I need to pay the account. No one wants a bad credit record, therefore I decided to pay. Only to discover afterwards that I never should have been billed for that amount. They took forever to refund me. I should have handed them over to the ICT.

Secondly, I discovered that I was billed for two smart cards in June and July 2010. I never received a statement that is why I never picked it up. I am still waiting for DSTV to revert back to me. I have been going back and forth with DSTV since November 2012. Not acceptable.

Thirdly, I was charged prorata for accounts that I cancelled. Still unresolved.

Statements are not user friendly. I had to do a reconciliation of my account because no one knew what was going on in my statement. It is now 29 January 2013 and they are still clueless.

You spend hours on the phone with them trying to resolve issues that they created and its quite costly. They then waste your time and money by not being able to resolve anything
