All promise & nothing in return except giant bill

Drove up to Sun City all the way from Cape Town to be welcomed by a PLANNED MAINTENANCE no one seemed to tell us about. Not while booking our holiday, not at entering the resort, not at the reception NO WHERE!! Stayed in a LUXURY UNIT - air-conditioning not working, fridge not keeping anything cold, went out only to come back to water steaming out the front door - dishwasher broken, oily food spatter on the wall and kitchen blinds - cleaning staff turned the blinds upside down for us not to notice, sliding door not closing properly and absolutely filthy with hand marks, table lamps broken. Yes, whenever we complained someone came to fix (sort off fix) the problem. But you try to relax with staff in and out of your unit! R100 to do the Maze - what a joke! R30 a Russian hotdog & chips at Gourmet Hotdogs - and you receive only the sausage & chips NO bun!! One couldn't walk in any of the gardens, couldn't go up to the Royal baths, the Cascades was a nightmare!! Valley of Waves was a giant swimming pool! This place is BEYOND expensive for the absolute nonsense you get in return. I will not go through any effort to visit this resort again.
