Background
My DSTV account was deactivated without any communication after having used the service for about 30mths. Thus I contact the call centre and they indicated that there is concern iro my ID and the decoder. They advised that I should take my ID book and the decoder to DSTV service centre for verification, which I had done accordingly. I was then further requested to submit affidavits confirming that I am the owner of the recorder and the true owner of the my ID book. These had also been submitted. Multichoice further requested me to contact a person of their legal dept on his cell no 0710760248. I attempted to contact this person without success as it went to voicemail all times. I left messages but received no response. I also tried to contact Multichoice's Division without success.

Concerns
No communication before or after the DSTV account deactivated without good cause
No procedures in place, first request ID verification then request customer to submit affidavit
No investigation took place prior deactivating any suspect account
No access to hotline
No audit trail for customer, all communications were via telephone without providing ref no.
