Misuses power to enforce age restriction

I dropped my son and four of his friends at the Nu Metro cinema at Monticasino to watch the latest Fast and Furious movie. We checked the previous evening, and saw that the age restriction as 13. All four these kids are in high school grade 8 and thus 14 years of age. So it is a no brainer to me. When they get to the ticket office they get told that they don't look 14, and thus they will not sell them tickets. My son phones me as I get home about this. I ask to speak to the ticket sales person. First she refuses to talk to me. Then when she does, I explain that the kids are old enough, but she is not interested. I get told that my word is not good enough, and I need to take a photo of his birth certificate and SMS it to her. When I ask to speak to her supervisor, she refuses. Eventually we phoned the cinema, and spoke to the senior manager to rectify the situation.

I am shocked that Nu Metro can treat their customers like this, and then still think we will come back for more.
