Still no refund for shocking service

My boyfriend and I watched the 20.15 show of Seven Psychopaths last Tuesday evening at Ster Kinekor Nouveau in Rosebank Mall. We were seated in Cinema 10. We are fully aware that there is construction going on in Rosebank Mall, but were extremely disappointed that no warning was given that this would severely limit our enjoyment of the experience that we paid hard-earned money for.

Just as the movie started someone started to use a hammer from the wall to our right. One of our fellow moviegoers went to complain and it stopped. About halfway through the movie the noise started again. This time it was a jackhammer drilling so loud that we couldn't hear the dialogue. Again, someone complained and the noise stopped. Towards the end of the movie the drilling started again. Someone went to complain and the noise stopped.

We were left with the reasonable expectation that we should at the VERY least be refunded for the terrible experience we had but despite complaining on both Facebook and to HQ we haven't received a satisfactory response from the cinema. They promised to get back to us within 48 hours and this was 7 days ago. Their FB reply was just plain rude.
