Multichoice
Changeover from HD to DVB-S2

Recreation & Entertainment

The subscribers have not been asked if we were interested in this, we have received an email to advise if we get an error message, then we have to pay. We have just had an annual increase. It is shocking, as DSTV/Multichoice have the monoply to do as they please. Our only form of entertainment is DSTV, as we cannot afford dinners, movies etc.

On 30 June 2013, Multichoice will be changing the transmission of our HD channels and services to the latest standard called DVB-S2. This change will improve your reception, especially during rain storms and create more capacity for future channels and services.

If you see an error message on this channel: "Signal not found OR Connection to the DStv signal is lost", this means that your installation is not ready for the switch over. When we do the switch over on 30 June 2013, you will lose your HD services.

Please send an SMS with your surburb name to 32445. An Accredited Installer will contact you within 24 hours to update your installation. Please note that this SMS will cost R1. Please note that work done to update your installation will be for your own accoun
