Multichoice
I feel ripped off

Recreation & Entertainment

I went to the Multichoice customer centre today and unfortunately had to have my Standard PVR decoder replaced. In the Customer Care area there are A0 size posters indicating decoder replacement costs. I located my decoder and saw the replacement price of R425. I was then charged R510 instead and told that the Std PVR was the same as the HD PVR. Well no where on the poster does this say so? The picture for Dual view (which this decoder is) is the same as a Std PVR. I tried to argue the fact and even the agent agreed it does not indicate it on the poster, but if I wanted a replacement R510 was what I had to pay. Tried to locate a manager via the reception, but no one was available at 11am?

This is false advertising as far as I am concerned and the posters should be replaced with correct info.
