Overdue refund of rental deposit, lack of feedback

I was renting an apartment in Oranjezicht and had to terminate it earlier than expected. Gave notice in writing as per contract and received only a "read receipt" back from all 3 agents that are involved in rentals in that branch. As the period drew near to the end January, I was getting worried that nobody was doing anything to get a new tenant for the 1st of February. Advertised the place myself and got a new tenant at a higher rental for them. The place needed repainting because I patched the holes on the wall, for my pictures, in the wrong colour, so I agreed on paying for the painters quote. I have been ignored most of the time and only when I phone them they somehow react and tell me things to try and make me happy but I'm still waiting for my deposit, which I need urgently. I paid my rental on time every month. Why can't they do the same. Excuses about the new tenant not giving access are not acceptable. Just very unprofessional from them.
