REVIEW - ZODIAC MX8 - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

Independent review of the Zodiac MX8.

FIRST LIE:

"The Zodiac MX8 is ready to battle your pool's toughest dirt and debris."

It may be READY but it is definitely NOT ABLE TO EVEN WIN A MINOR SKIRMISH with leaves, twigs or debris in pools.

This unit cannot do 1/10th of what my -8 year old Baracuda can do.

SECOND LIE.

"Doesn't get stuck" - It gets stuck continually.

The Zodiac MX8 unit will pick up dust and very, very small leaves but when it comes to actually keeping an average pool surface clean it fails dismally.

A storm and the resultant debris therefrom renders the MX8 COMATOSE requiring constant user intervention every couple of minutes. This requires HOURS of your precious time.

The design does not allow for twigs or leaves to be lifted due to the complicated rotary gear mechanism (which has broken once already) which gets jammed incessantly. The MX8 remains inoperable until the offending leaf or twig is manually removed from the unit.

Clearly this cannot be considered automatic cleaning!

Enough.

An e-mail request for a director to call me is ignored!!

Their 0860 number is continually engaged/ not working - do not even try to phone for assistance.

Disgusted!
