MX8 not suitable for SA market

I bought an MX8 automatic pool cleaner some 3 months back. Since installation it has not worked for more than 10 minutes continuously. It cannot handle leaves and twigs which get clogged in the unit shutting it down. The design is not suitable for outdoor pools
