False advertising and misrepresentation

I saw a property advertised on Private Property for R1 200 000 and contacted the agent responsible, Lorieka Bothma from Uptown Living who advised us that the price was negotiable. Ater careful consideration my fiance and I put in an offer of R1 150 000 with room to negotiate if absolutely neccesary. Never did I imagine that the price was negotiable UPWARDS. The agent came back to us and advised that the seller had decided to increase the sale price to R1 290 000 - R90 000 more than was advertised! This is completely unethical and unscrupulous on behalf of both the seller and Uptown Living. False advertising and misrepresentation personified - you should all be ashamed of yourselves!
