Payback of Deposit

We rented a room in a Commune. Had to pay the deposit chop chop. Gave notice in October/November 2013 and vacated the room by December 2013. We painted the room, cleaned the carpets and ensured that the room was left cleaner than we received it. We completed the request to have deposit paid back on 3 January 2014. The contract stipulates that we will have the deposit paid in 7 days. We are now beyond 14 days.

We spoke to the person who said it will be done the next day. I e-mailed the person on the 17th asking for the deposit - no response.

We did not even got the keys from the realtor we had to make our own arrangements with the owner so therefore we gave the keys back to the owner.

All we want is our deposit please.
