Why bother Collecting Commission

Was house hunting and found this seemingly perfect property advertised for R1.6m. The same property was advertised by Rawson and Pam Golding and I opted for the latter based clearly on the reputation I THOUGHT Pam Golding have.

The house was advertised with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, fully fitted AEG kitchen an electric gate, motorised garage door and no visible issues.
The agent confirmed that everything was in working order and it was signed off by all the parties on the Offer to purchase. After the long wait to get everything finalised and ready to move (we had to chase the process along) We had to deal with the seller not wanting to move and Pam Goldings agent unable to resolve the matter.

The fun didn't stop there - things confirmed as working were in fact broken and not operational at all. I have spent close to R10000 to get things work as per the agents instruction now the seller is not willing to pay and I am sitting with a broken house and a big hole in my pocket while Pam Golding just shrugs its shoulders saying they are trying. For the last 3 months now my roof leaks when it rains and the garage door wont open every other day.
