At 2:30 this morning I heard sounds in my unit 201, Station Place. A City Property owned building. I discovered the noise to be water leaking from the ceiling, SHOCKED I immediately went to the security gaurds and told them what had happened, requesting them to phone the care taker
After investigating the guards, said quote THE MAINTANACE PEOPLE THAT HAD BEEN WORKING ON THE UNIT ABOVE ME FORGOT TO TURN OFF THE TAPS unquote, which he went to turn the water off,
I them moved my furniture from the flooded area, ALONE & PREGNANT, which was the messge from the care taker, who never arrived to the scene
This morning I phoned customer service and they tell me that they will only fix the damage to their building, No compensation to me and the damages that I have enquired to my furniture. FURIOUS I tell them that I want to move out, because they clearly dont take accountability for THEIR STAFFS NEGLIGENCE.They tell me that if I move out I owe them a cancellation fee to cancel their contract.

I OWE THEM, BUT THEY DONT OWE ME FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE, Personally I feel my tenant rights are being violated, I should be left to move out wihtout a cancellation fee, since they wont compencate
