Do not deal with this company

My wife unsuspecting took on the services on Gem Landscapes CC (2009/152685/23) on the 11 October 2012 with Shauns email stating that he would start the following week after I had made a 70% deposit (R5700) so he could buy plants in Limpopo. A month went by after he cancelled/reschduled numerous times or simply failed to pitch and was impossible to get hold of. After seeing the stories regarding the company/individual on Hellopeter I decided it was time to pull the plug on this particular contractor as his past record was dubious at best (despite the pictures he had shown of his previous work). I asked him to kindly return the deposit and we would be on our merry way, well its now been over three months and I am still out of pocket for R5700 without as much as a spade hitting my garden. I heard form him on 16th December 2012 via text message asking me for my bank details to return the deposit which I excitedly did. Over a month now and not a peep. I have sent emails, texts and try calling him at least twice a week but it seems his no. has changed or he is AWOL. I went as ar as to say that if he was in financial difficulty he could come up with a repayment plan.
