REQUEST FOR TAX NUM TO BE DEREGISRTERED IGNORED

I discovered that I have two tax numbers in November 2012. I went to the branch to request that they deregister the one under my incorrect identity number (1374093167) & keep the one under my correct identity number active (2232864153). After so many phone calls to follow up & emails this hasn't been done. In February 2013 I was told none of my documents were received, I had to go to the Randburg branch again to resubmit the documents & was informed that the one tax number 1374093167 will be deregistered in 21 days. To date it hasn't been done, everytime I call I'm told their portfolio department is busy with the deregistration. 21 days lapsed ages ago but they still haven't finalised this. No one bothers to give me an update instead I must phone everyweek to hear the same thing. Someone must attend to this and finalise the closure because I don't have time to waste going up & doen to their branch & phoning so many times. This is really bad service, people must start doing their jobs and keep to the turn around period stipulated.
