RIDICULOUS CHARGES FOR TOWING

I am a law abididng citizen who committed an offence by parking in a no parking zone whilst rushing to attend to a production related incident at the bank and when i came back my car was towed (impounded) by Metro Police

To my horror when i went to their compund i was told to pay a ridiculous amount of R2200 just to get my car back which was towed less than 600m away from where it was parked to the metro police compound. I still have to pay a fine over and above this for having parked in a no parking zone
Whisly i fully regret having broken the law, I cannot understand how the City of Johannesburg can charge its citizens such ridiculous amounts, especially in light of the horredous service that we get as motorists, VERY VERY DISSAPOINTED
