My anger betrays me as I am typing this, maybe I should calm down before I continue, but I cannot. I have been using the Gautrain for about 5 months now and I have been very happy with the service and quality presented. But, today made me so fumblingly mad that I felt compelled to dip my emotional quill into my boiling and start writing. On my trip into Sandton from Centurion this morning I was denied passage to exit Sandton. When asking the station staff to investigate they informed me my card did not register the entry point in Centurion and as such I am not allowed to exit. Furthermore they presented me with a written warning that they insisted me signing before they can fix my card. A written warning! Inquiring about said document staring me square in the face, it was revealed that a new policy was enforced from HQ whereby instances like this are to be matched with a lovely piece of admin heartache. "I will not sign this document" was my reply. Short while later the senior Gautrain servant arrived and he informed me that the warning was to 'help' me not to let this happen again. I am not mad at the staff of the Sandton station, I am questioning this policy enforced. Not On!
