Gautrain Security won't allow me to fetch my ca

I took the Gautrain to Pretoria for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week yesterday (30/10/13). I stayed longer than expected, so I missed the last train back to Sandton, so I caught a lift with a colleague.

When we arrived at the Sandton station I began to walk into the parking lot towards my car when five security guards stopped me. They told me that the Gautrain parking lot was closed until the morning and that I had to leave immediately or I would be removed from the premises by force. I told them I just wanted to get my car so I could go home, and that I needed to speak to the manager. The manager told me that the system was offline so I couldn't remove my car.

This is so stupid! They should let the parking lot stay open 24/7 and just charge accordingly - this might even be profitable for them. How can they say that if you miss the last train your car will be illegally kept for the night.
There was no sign at the entrance, or anywhere in the building, warning me of what would happen.
