Bank details change: 3 months later still not done

We submitted all documentation for our company's bank details to be changed for out VAT number at the Alberton branch on 21/10/2013.
Since then I have been following up every week, and then requested an escalation of the case on 27/1/2013 as the processing period of 21 working days had passed without anything being updated (call case number #123050593)! We were also awaiting a VAT refund of over R100k, so this matter was becoming critical for our company's cashflow!!
On 03/12/2013 (call case number #123590274) I followed-up again and even spoke to the supervisor on duty, a lady by the name of Yolanda, and was told that it has been escalated and that the back office now has another 21 working days to process the escalation!
Today, 14/01/2014, I call again to find out what the status is (call case number #125378359), and was told by Patricia in the call centre that still nothing has been updated and that there is no escalation on record!!! Needless to say, I made my frustration heard! She promised to process the escalation today and keep the case open until it's been resolved.
Between SARS and the CIPC, they do a great job of crippling the small & medium businesses in this country!
