In addition to our monthly account we received an account with a grand total of over R10 000 from Tshwane, without any explanation/detailed layout of what this amount accounts to.
We started to enquire in the beginning of July 2013 to clarify what this amount is for, and till today we did not get any detail on how the amount was made up. At one stage we received a final demand where we were threatened that our power will be cut if we do not pay within 14days. So we did pay the amount.
We send various emails to customer care and on 24 October we received an email from Nicole Bouwer where she stated that we have to pay R 6.50 per page and R 50 per year to get the information that we want. It was not our mistake but the mistake of Tshwane, why do we have to pay to get info on their mistake?
It is uncommon for any company/business to send an account with a grand total, without any explanation/detailed layout of what this amount accounts to. We were told that a detailed audit was done on our account; we only want to see the outcome of that audit or for Tshwane to tell us in detail what this amount accounts to.
