Our premises was sold and registration took place on 15 June 2012. The final documents and figures were sent via the attorneys to the City of Tshwane on 18/06/2012. However, nothing was done by City of Tshwane to finalize the Rates and Taxes issue. I sent an e-mail regarding this issue to the Customer Care ('customercare@tshwane.gov.za') people but did not receive any feedback up to now. I phoned the Customer Care Call Centre several times and they were not able to help me either and refer me every time to another person. I went to the City of Tshwane branch in Sinoville who referred me to the Akasia branch. I went there on 13/05/2013 and the lady that assist me told me that everything was sorted out but the correction made will be to late for the May 2013 account but will definately in time for the June 2013 account. However, the June account which was printed on 2013/07/05 was still not corrected and it shows a balance brought forward of R7, 318.67 with a new entry which read "Skikkingsplan gemaak" for the amount of R8, 709.15. The Total amount payable now is R16, 027.82. I am really sick and tired of going to their offices as it seems that they are not capable to solve problems.
