TERRIBLE Delivery Service of a quite high value order

TAKELOT is BAD - they JUST lost me as a CUSTOMER FOREVER!
VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with TakeaLot with the delivery of my R5700 order. I ordered a special chair with 2 special cushions for my back and sciatica which I am suffering from (extremely painful) when sitting. I need this chair / order for my work, as I work very long hours.

I especially ordered the items that showed IN STOCK in Cape Town (I live on the Cape West Coast), expecting the order to be delivered soonest.

This order was placed (and paid for) on Thursday, the 18th of December 2025, and on Saturday I received a SMS stating that the order would be delivered the Sunday, the 21st of December 2025, before 5pm.

On Monday, evening, I still did not receive my order, and all of a sudden I saw a message on the TakeaLot portal (after trying see what the heck's going on) that my order was delivered to the "incorrect delivery hub". Which I am still sure is a ****py excuse.

I called the Takealot customer service desk on ********** - and spoke to a "Thandi". Thandi sent me an email (WITHOUT ticket reference number) confirming the phone call, stating that she will escalate it to their deliveries department. I insisted getting a phone call back (the least they can do because they stuffed up the delivery of my order). In the afternoon, when I still did not hear anything back, I sent Thandi an email by replying to her mail - and her response back was that the order would be delivered within the next 2 to 3 days. BUT they cannot say WHEN. And right up till now (1pm on Tuesday, 23rd of December 2025), my order delivery date have NOT been updated on the Takealot portal, under my orders.

Now - I sent them a last email requesting an exact date, as THEY STUFFED MY ORDER DELIVERY UP. And up till now, I have STILL NOT received any mails or phone calls back.

Thandi escalated to someone named "Lutho. M". Whom is SO arrogant, saying that if I want to cancel my order I am welcome to. Can you believe it?

Takealot has lost me forever as customer.

If I do not receive my order by tomorrow evening latest (which is the 3rd day from Monday), I will be cancelling my order, and once my money have been paid back into my banking account, I WILL be DELETING MY TAKEALOT ACCOUNT!

I have been a loyal Takealot customer ever SINCE they started trading.

Now - I will rather buy from Temu, Shein and Amazon.co.za or Bobshop.co.za!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM TAKEALOT, unless you are a fool for sufference!
