Noise from Vodacom base station diesel generator

Vodacom currently has a diesel generator powering the base station at St Ninians Church, cnr. 10th street and 1st Avenue West, Parktown. I live across the road from the generator

The exhaust noise from generator is not overly loud but is intrusive and disturbing because it is a low frequency thrum that I can hear whenever the generator is on – it has been running, on and off, for about three weeks now. I would like Vodacom to either switch it off or find a solution to making it much less of a disturbance. I am at times not able to sleep because of the noise, and it affects my concentration while working – I work from home. it is also becoming much more psychologically distrubing since the thrum is almost constant, like white noise but in reverse. I have tried contacting Vodacom's comapny secretary via email, but no responce, and there appears to be no way to get hold of a Vodacom representative without being a Vodacom client (which I am not).
