On 23 September 2012 I handed in an 18ct gold ring set with diamonds and sapphires to sell the gold to DW Bullion. I was told the stones could not be removed manually so my ring would be sent to the refinery and the stones returned to me.
Not once did I receive any feedback from DW Bullion regarding my stones. I would follow up at the kiosk regularly only to be told that the refinery was on strike, then they were closed for Christmas, then on a go slow, then the assistant said he just did not know where my stones were.
In frustration I eventually got the phone number and email for Christine Brass the Office Manager/Kiosk Assistant at head office.
On 1 March 2013, I forwarded her a breakdown of the incident providing invoice numbers and a valuation certificate of the ring and she assured me of a speedy resolution as soon as her directors returned from holiday, came back from meetings etc. To date I have not received my stones or reimbursement from them and all the promises made by her remain unfulfilled. To me this constitutes as it has been six months since they took my stones under false pretences!
