I dropped the van off on Wednesday 13 March with the promise that the van would be ready after the weekend. I even stipulated that I need the van on the 21st (public holiday). On Wednesday the 20th Tim called to say the van will not be ready. I had to rent a van for the day at my own expense. I told him that I need the bakkie at the latest by Friday because we were going up to Punto D'Ouro for the weekend. On the Friday Tim called to say that the bakkie is still not ready so I went there after work and guess what I found? The Bakkie was still parked in the same place where I left it more than a week ago!! Tim said that they will be working on it this past Saturday. (Please keep in mind that I had to forfeit my holiday as I need a 4x4 to get to my holiday spot in Mozambique). I called Tim this morning (25th) around 9am to ask what was wrong with the van and I was told that the bakkie is still not on the ramp! It has been nearly 2 weeks that Kempster has my van. I was fed some story about shortage of staff or something, yet everyone else's work is getting done? If this is the kind of service customers can expect from Kempster Ford / Mazda I would never recommend them to anyone.
