I bought a Sealy Queen Size (Palm Grove) bed for R10, 999 in late June 2012. In December 2012 I noticed that the stitching was coming loose on top of the bed and I contacted the store from which I bought the item, Dial-a-Bed. Sealy send a representative to inspect the bed during February 2013, but before even dispatching the representative I was told that the stitching on the mattress was only guaranteed for 4 months. The representative arrived, took a photo of the poor workmanship and left soon thereafter. I have used a good mattress protector at all times and would have expected a bed of this 'quality' and price to have lasted longer than the 4 month guarantee Sealy provides. This is a perfect example of buyer's remorse and I can't believe that Sealy has so little confidence in their own product (stitching in this example) to only guarantee it for such a short period. To add insult to injury, I found the after sales service to be poor, staff to be unhelpful and generally slow in responding.
