Online registration an absolute joke

I am one of the lucky few that can avoid the e-Tolls but my wife is not. After having to drive the e-Toll roads a few times my wife gets a threatening SMS that she has been handed over for her R53 outstanding tolls. As a CA she can't afford to have these kinds of judgements against her name so we decided to buy an e-Tag and register it. But that is not as easily done as said - the site was down for weeks.

After struggling to register the e-Tag online for two weeks we finally got in and managed to register the e-Tag only to be told that the outstanding amount can't be paid online but has to be paid in person at an E-Tolls branch. Why have online systems if it can't consolidate the payments when you register?

Then my wife gets another SMS for R280 yesterday even though she has not used the e-Tolls highways since.
