First World Money for Third World Roads

So the minister of Transport, potholile slagathole says that it is a minority who doesn't want e-tolls, but the majority wants world class roads. How absolutely hilarious! Everyone wants world class roads no one wants to pay tolls. We pay taxes, a whole lot of it, and for what? Hospitals, Policing, Education? Obviously not. Roads? Well no, because apparently we pay that through tolls.

Yesterday I drove to work, taking some alternative routes in order to avoid the slippery highways being paved with pork and all that see, the alternative routes are in such a mess. Traffic lights out everywhere affects not only alternative routes but maybe even more so, these expensive highways (so much for "most people want to get to places quicker" - Slagathole). I wonder if the e-toll systems will ever experience the problems which the traffic lights experiences? If they break, no doubt it will be fixed within a few hours unlike traffic lights being offline for weeks and months at times.

This not even mentioning the potholes. Give us world class roads (working traffic lights and no potholes), because we have already, through taxes and fuel levy, given you world class money.
