Harassment from TV licence Dept

I paid my 2014 TV licence on 1 Aug 2013, which was unfortunately earlier than I was supposed to do.

I now receive weekly sms's threatening to that I will be handed over to debt collectors if I don't pay. I called on 09/01/2014 and was told to mail proof of payment to the Finance Department, which I did. That didn't stop the sm's

If they had done their job properly when I paid, this would not have happened
