BMW 530D value

I wanted to do a trade in on my vehicle, 2008 BMW530D and went to Alberante BMW 2nd hand sales department and asked them to give me a trade in value. i wanted to trade it for an BMW 325i. They were reluctant to value and trade their OWN product. 1 week later they came back to me and offered me R160 000. (i bought the vehicle 1 year ago for R280 000). A few days later i went there again and then they offered me R175 000.

I then went to AUDI and Mercedes Benz to see what they will offer me for my BMW. They came back to me within 24 hours and offered me R195 000! R20 000 more than BMW offer for their OWN brand. I think it is a shame that BMW dont wanna pay a decent price for their own brand.

i think the amount Alberante BMW offered me is ridiculous and will encourage all BMW owners if they want to do a trade in on thier BMW's to definetly consider other German brands! (ESP AUDI & MERC).
Out of the 3 German brands, BMW, Audi and Mercedes - BMW was always my favourite. But after the treatment i received i will NEVER buy a BMW again.
