Super Group Toyota
Unprofessional behaviour in new car deal

Cars & Transport

On 20 February I signed an offer to purchase a 2013 Toyota Auris 1.6 XS. I was told expected delivery is 2-3 weeks, & only now at week 4 is the car available. This, however, is not the main reason for my complaint. I have made arrangements, organised insurance etc, and was very excited to collect and drive the first vehicle I have ever bought brand new.

Now, at the eleventh hour after 4pm on the afternoon before I a m to collect my new car, I have been advised by the sales person Pierre that because the deal they had made with the dealer who offered to buy my car which I am trading in has decreased in value, they will now need to re-look at my deal and the value offered to me on trade in.

I find this incredibly unprofessional, and in extremely bad taste. The trade in I was offered was not based on their deal to sell my traded in vehicle, it was based on beating offers from other vehicle dealerships I had been considering. If they managed to sell the car for a higher value, would they then offer me more for my trade in? I doubt it! I have the offer in writing, my financing is based on this deal.

Super group would be ashamed -
