I took my mini in for a noisy turbo which was replaced. I was informed that the clutch had slight shudder that required checking. We made the booking for the next week.
Towards the latter part of the first day, I was informed that they had accessed the clutch plate and it need to be replaced. Further, the fly wheel also need to be replaced.
I was then informed that the clutch would not be covered by the motorplan as it was replaced previously. When inquiring on the date that the clutch was replaced, the date indicated preceded me purchasing the vehicle from Lyndhurst (Aug 2010). When I challenged this, the reasoning for this the reasoning for this not being covered was quickly changed to spots on the flywheel, apparently reported in Oct 2010, which I know not to be true.
After much shouting over the phone - i was told that they would cover it - almost like a favour was being done for me.
My view is that there were conscious attempts to deceive me in order extract money. Simply put, .
I contacted the dealer principle with this via email with not response from him.
