CAVEAT EMPTOR DON'T BUY HYUNDAI, WARRANTY WORTHLESS

I drive a Hyundai ix35. About 2 months ago, I heard a loud clunk under the car (thought we hit an island). I stopped car and saw underneath that the diff was hanging loosely and oil was leaking. A diesel mechanic friend, towed me to the farm as it was after hours. He loosened the propshaft so as not to damage the automatic GB when towing and tightened the loose diff so it would not fall off when towing. After 2 months of waiting for my repair, Hyundai has apparently rejected the repair. Reasons given by Sean (service) are inter alia 1) the car must have had wheel alignment done (which it HAD NOT) and they forgot to tighten bolts 2) the diff has been TAMPERED with (spanner marks on the bolts), UNTRUE. I have on record from last service (200 km prior to this incident), that there was a humming noise coming from under the car as if driving in 4 wheel drive; they found nothing! Also on record is the fact that my car's suspension was alwys faulty as observed by Hyundai personnel: "About 5% less clearance between tyre and top of wheel housing than the identical car parked next to it" Robbie N, Service Dept. If you want to buy a Hyundai, CAVEAT EMPTOR! They have ZERO HONOUR on the WARRANTY
