Last night I phoned the Sanral Call Centre as I knew that I had gone through the gantries yesterday. I had found bank details to do an EFT into on the website but I needed to know what reference number to put there and I wanted a breakdown of my account. The staff member that I spoke to was very friendly, courteous and knew what he was talking about but was unable to assist me for the following reasons: a) I do not have an etag and refuse to get one because I travel the highways so infrequently, b) I have not registered an eToll account because that means I have to put down R50 (which they say will be put against the toll fees that I incur) but I do not trust them to charge the right amount because they haven't done so far, c) I refuse to spend more money on petrol to get to one of their centres to get a breakdown of my account a colleague went there to get a breakdown of their account and they were unable to give it to them so I know that doesn't work, d) the THC call centre does not send out accounts within the 7 days that they demand we pay, it's all a ruse so that we get handed over to VPC and then automatically get charged 8.1% more. What you are!!!
