After having received an SMS on the 3rd of January 2014 for a bill of R591.42 for usage of e-toll roads in December 2013, I contacted SANRAL only to be told that this amount of R591.42 is my usage of the road from the 03/12/13 to 18/12/13 and that a further amount of R1300 some odd was for my usage between the 19/12/13 to the 30/12/13.

"Now unless my car grew legs opened my gates of my house and drove its self under the gantries back and forth I have no clue as to how this amount was reached particularly as I was on leave from the 20/12/13 to the 06/01/14 and only used the e-toll roads four times."

The best part is that Sanral's call centre says they can only send me a statement in two working days??? And the VPC department has no landlines to help me???

Its a joke.
