About their knives being Japanese Made!

Bought a Special Chefs knife and specifically asked them how and where the knives are made. I only wanted knives made in Japan and Damascus Steel using VG10. I WOULD not have bought it had I known the truth. This was for Christmas for my wife who is chef. They emailed me and so when it arrived I was shocked to find that the quality was not what I expected and when I checked the box it was a Chinese company name. I googled them and they are a young Chinese company making cheap knives. I paid a lot of money for rubbish. I emailed back Itamae and they are all ignoring me. These are the people I dealt with (Karlien Grobler, Stuart Mackie, Karen Mackie and Andrew).
