Loyal Customer for 4 years - wont spend 1c more!

After years supporting a local store in Hillcrest called Scoop, where I buy dresses and accessories for friends, family & collegues - I tried to return dress (with tag still on it), that was bought for me for christmas. The dress had tag attached, and they had the same stock on display. I was told that I can only exchange if I had the original reciept. So, had to try contact my family in JHB who had bought it, got sent the reciept (thankfully they had it), took it back to the store - & they said i was 'lucky' as they could do anything after 7 days. I asked for them to please call owner - they said NO they are not allowed to over a weekend.

This is completely against the consumer rights act... I think this form of unethical business practice is appalling, and disgraceful. I will NO LONGER support your store, & what it clearly stands for, I will also advise all client/customers, family & friends to do the same. In my opinion, the best thing would be for stores like these that dont value service & its customers to close their doors.

Sad, as Ive spent maybe R9 000 in total over the last couple years.
