Bad workmanship, warrantee not being honoured

On 20/8/2013 Paveking commenced laying a tar surface driveway, quoted on a /m2 basis. On completion of the job, the owner refused to check the measurement. I refused to pay over the balance due until such time as the job was remeasured, which as it turned out was 30m2 less than quoted. I then paid over the final amount due on presentation of the invoice at which time he assured me that the company would honour their 5 year warrantee. Less than 6 weeks later, the surface started breaking up. I have called him no less than 5 times and was informed during our last conversation that he was not coming to look and would be doing nothing about it! I informed him that I would have to refer the matter to the Consumer Affairs Board, which I have done, and he told me to go ahead. This kind of attitude is appalling. I paid almost R28 000-00 for a driveway that will not see out the end of this year. I STRONGLY ADVISE THAT THIS COMPANY NOT BE USED FOR ANY PAVING/TARRING WORK AT ALL. The owner is very aggressive and threatening (pulled the race card and threatened 'BLOODSHED") and coincidently that night someone tried to break into my house. Be careful of PAVEKING!
