Paper Paradise
Sarcastic store manager passes the buck!

I bought wedding stationary at Paper Paradise, Menlyn. The shop assistant offered to take all my stuff (paper, cards, buckles and ribbon) to the counter and ring it up while I returned all their samples and stock to the display cupboards. When the assistant was done, she called me to pay for the goods. I asked her if she rang up everything and she said yes. I paid for the goods and left the shop. The following day when I unpacked the goods from the bags, I realised some of the things I bought were missing. I immediately phoned the assistant to inform her of this. The store manager answered the phone and said the girl in question was not at the shop. I explained my situation to him. His sarcastic response was that I could have thrown the goods away and now I'm phoning to claim it back because I've got a slip to proof it. He then said I should've checked the bag immediately when I got home and not only the following day, and that I must prove the assistant didn't put the goods in my bag. He was extremely sarcastic in his approach and did in no way try to resolve the situation; he kept on insulting me although he could hear how upset I was and he kept blaming me for the situation.
