Aquanet
Pool fencing unsuitable for people with dogs

Miscellaneous

May 2013 I purchased a pool fence from Aquanet. My property was viewed and I was given a quote beforehand. Aquanet saw I have small children and dogs. After about a month the dogs pushed through the fence and we contacted Aquanet who then repaired and reinforced the fence. On 22 July I notified Aquanet that the dogs had pushed through the fence again. This is when they notified me that the fence is not meant to fence dogs. If this is the case then why did they not notify me of this before they sold me the fence. They say that I signed for the fence so it is my responsibility but I signed in good faith for a pool fence, not a fence unsuitable for dogs.

Aqua-net have offered to repair the fence but we all know the dogs will be able to get through it and then my 20 month old twins will be able to get through to the pool. I've asked for a full refund so I can get a fence that will keep the dogs and children safe from the pool. They have only offered 50% back. Aquanet knew we had dogs, it's their responsibility to know their product, what it is suitable for and to advise their customers.

Aquanet have missed an appointment and take long to reply to me.

My fence remains un-repaired.
