Harassment and ridiculous claim

I had a Jet account many years ago. In 2000 I paid up the account and closed it. For 12 years I never received a call, a letter or any kind of notice from Jet that I still owe them even 1c. I purchased 3 cars and 2 houses in the 12 years and never was there anything on ITC. than last year these idots (VVM) started sending me e-mails, phoning me at all hours and smsing me threatening to sue me for what is now R272.28. They can not even proof to me what I owe it for. I've begged them to take me to court for the ridiculous situation. my lawyer told me that they must be able to proof the origin of debt and that according to law if debt is older than 3 years and they did not claim it they can't claim it anymore. now after 12 years they are just harassing and threatening me hoping I will be stupid enough to pay.
Well, I have had enough of VVM's harassment for over a year now and the claim that is only growing with interest. If this harassment does not stop immediately and the debt written off. I will sue VVM for harassment and defamation of character. I just had enough now. I received 4 e-mails today already.
