R800 CHARGES IN 2 DAYS

Last months i found out that my vodacom acc was handed over to MBD Attorneys for collection. I called MBD Attorneys to make payment arrangement on R1000 same day in April, of which i paid and sent proof of payment. on the 14 May i called MBD again to find out how much is the balance so that i can make a payment, a consultant told me to pay R1698 and my name will be cleared. I made the payment of R1700 on the 16 of may. Yesterday on the 22nd may i called to find out if my name has been cleared. a lady consultant told me that i wont be cleared because i have not finished paying, she then gave a phone to another consultant who advised me that i need to pay an extra R800.the consultant told me that its charges for paying on the 16 may were as i made arrangement to pay on the 14th & that the amount of R1698 was wrong to begin with. what i fail to understand is how can i incur charges of r800 in 2days and why shu'd i suffer for their mistakes. i struggled to get r1700 in the 1st place to clear my name now they want more money that i don't have. i called again to have this cleared and was threatened that if i don't pay the R800 i wont be cleared and the charges will go up to R2000
