Failure to refund me

I bought a voucher online from cityslicker and was informed via email by customer care that the deal expired and that my money reached them too late. They will refund me if i email them my banking details which i did. After a week i emailed and asked when can i expect my refund and was informed via email that they only process refunds after the 25 January 2014.
I fail to understand why i must wait for my money when they have it in their bank accounts.
