I thought I'd put this to bed the last time I dealt with Medihelp, but it seems this has reared its ugly head again! In a nutshell my wife was involved in a car accident and was taken away and rushed to the ER at Panorama hospital. To cut a long story short I've been told that I need to cough up for the x-ray costs because the code that was given doesn't indicate that it was an emergency. In my recent engagements with Medi-useless I've been told 'because it wasn't a network or referring dr' I have to pick up the costs! What? Was I supposed to tell the ambulance to check which dr they were going to hand my wife over to? Or, not attend to her spinal and neck injuries until a network dr was found somewhere? So if the radiography company entered the wrong diagnosis code the client is liable? I need answers and quick! I eagerly await Amanda Prinsloo's call.
