Really bad experiences with Medihelp!

On the 31st of December 2013, my husband sustained injuries to his face & nose & was rushed to hospital. His injuries required hospitalisation for 3 weeks at Mulbarton hospital, which is a NETWORK hospital! it has now come to my attention that i am responsible for doctors accounts because they do not fall under the network! I find it out of sorts that I should be responsible for settling these bills as I am a paying member of the Medihelp Hospital Plan. Whether or not the attending staff are part of the Medihelp network is not something I can be held responsible for nor have the capacity to check and vet, especially not in an emergency situation. i don't understand why there are NO NETWORK DOCTORS at this hospital and especially when there is an emergency. Given my husband's 3 week sick and unpaid leave from work and other associated bills, we are certainly in no position to pay the various doctor and hospital bills. How is it that Medihelp requires this from distraught members in a traumatic situation? I am highly disappointed that during such a, stressful and traumatic time for my family, a simple claim is now a fight with the company I pay each month to AVOID THIS SITUATION!!!
