I have been struggling to get a claim paid by bankmed for the last for the past 9 months. I had a previous claim for the same doctor, same procedure and same cost for myself (dependent 1) that was settled by bankmed, yet for the main members claim, they refuse to pay with no explanation. I have called the call centre numerous times, each time i am told that the person answering the call holds no mandate and that a manager or team leader will call me back. I have since called back over ten times, and every time i am to that somebody else will call me back. I pay almost R5000 a month for medical aid, yet Bankmed does not have the decency to solve a query and call its clients back. Pathethic service by a pathethic medical aid company.
