Resolution Health - no compassion for the elderly!

I am writing on behalf of my father, Mr. Nic J van Rensburg, retired (69) and now, due to Resolution, in a financial dilemma.
He has been a member of RH since 2002. On 3 Jan 2013 he received a sms confirming the new dt-order amount for his medical aid will be R5, 349. THIS IS A 24% INCREASE compared to the previous year! No previous communication to this effect was received by my dad. I immediately did a option change request online for a cheaper option. First, RH requested reasons why this was not done prior to 31/12/12. I duly submitted all the reasons. From hereone they just bluntly refused to considder our request, stating that the "Rules of the Scheme" dictate that no option changes are allowed after 31/12/12. In fact I still await proof that they sent correspondence to my dad in Nov 2012 advising him of the drastic increase
Most other medical aids at least allow you to downgrade during the year - what if you loose your job, or get in financial difficulty and can only afford a cheaper option?
RH obviously don't care!! My dad's total income is R8, 800 per month of which he now has to pay RR5, 349 to RH - who can live on the balance??
RH you are bullying your loyal clients!!!
