Elza Pienaar
Sold counterfeit OmegaHerbal 48 as legitimate

Health & Medicine

On Saturday the 6th of April 2013 at the KKNK, Elza Pienaar sold a product to me I now suspect to be a counterfeit health product sold in a way consciously intended to mislead the public and infringe on a reputable brand name for financial gain.

I EXPLICITLY asked if her product was the OmegaHerbal 48 product displayed on the OmegaHerbal 48 banner behind her.
She said 'YES IT IS, PLUS 3 INGREDIENTS ADDED. YOU GET THE ALPHA PART WITH' She presented the product as a combination of 2 OmegaHerbal products. I bought this product under the representation that it is an authentic, quality product sold under a reputable product name, has been used by considerable amount of consumers and therefore have some degree of safety.

The official South African distributor of OmegaHerbal 48 confirmed she is selling is a cheap imitation. He is appalled she is still using his branding to sell her product.

I contacted Elza Pienaar on Saturday by phone.
She denied her product being a ripoff /copycat and failed to return the call.

I believe this person to be in violation of many Consumer Rights according to the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008.
