Disgusting Rip-Off

First impressions were great. Beautiful lodge with a lovely bar and dining room and sprawling gardens and lake. Then we were shown to our room. It was disgusting. Black mould infested the tiles in the bathroom. The shower virtually had no pressure whatsoever and produced only a trickle. The self-catering unit was supposed to be fully serviced but the only service offered was a quick mop of the floor and straightening of the bed linen. We were told to wash our own dishes, but were not given anything to do this with. Surely a sponge, drying towel and a little liquid could have been provided. The room looked like it was decorated in the 70's with fading curtains and dirty carpets and each bed had one thin pillow with no spares in the cupboards. When I complained I was met with the embarrassed stare of what looked like a teenaged manager who didn't say a word. We were booked in for 2 nights but left after 1, as did the people next door and another couple. At R1200 a night you'd expect something semi-decent which this is certainly not.
